Red Beans 'N' Rice Cook-offs Raise $30k for St. Tammany Service Providers

United Way of Southeast Louisiana awarded $30,000 for suicide prevention, mental health services, and crisis response to NAMI St. Tammany and VIA LINK, Inc./2-1-1 in St. Tammany Parish to support their efforts in the community.

The funding was made possible through the 2018 Red Beans ‘N’ rice cook-offs held in west and east St. Tammany.

United Way organizes and hosts the annual cook-offs in partnership with St. Tammany Fire Districts (No. 1, No. 4 and No. 12), St. Tammany Parish Government, Covington Fire Department, Slidell Police Department and Camellia Beans.
