Earlier this month, United Way of Southeast Louisiana hosted a breakfast for our Employee Campaign Coordinators. The Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC) is a United Way advocate in the workplace who encourages co-workers to join the Live United Movement by donating and provides donor updates about United Way's work throughout the year. An ECC is the foundation of the work United Way accomplishes in our community and these individuals work so hard to ensure that each of their workplace campaigns are a success. United Way ECC's inspire thousands of people to widen their perspectives, to invest in our collective future, to act for a brighter tomorrow.
The ECC Summit was both and THANK YOU for their tremendous efforts as well as an interactive hands-on workshop designed to help established and first-time ECCs conduct, monitor and conclude employee campaigns, while having fun and raising money to help those in need in our community.
An event was held on the Southshore on August 5th at The Cannery and August 12th at the Shell - Robert Training Center on the Northshore. ECC's had the opporunity to learn how to run an effective United Way campaign, learn the role and expectations of the Employee Campaign Coordinator, understand how United Way impacts the community year round, create campaign plans for their organization and build networks of fellow coordinators and resources.
We also took the opportunity to continue to thank and recognize our Top 60 Corporate Partners and share best practices on the successes of their campaigns.
You don't have to be a big company with hundreds of employees to run a United Way Campaign. You just have to share our vision for the community we wish to live in. Together, we can #liveunited and construct the future of Southeast Louisiana.
