WHY:

One in two households in Southeast Louisiana struggled to make ends meet before COVID-19 hit the region. Now, following Hurricane Ida, those families and countless more are unable to stabilize their households. UWSELA aims to provide immediate relief – via feedings, supply giveaways and applications for civil legal aid via Southeast Louisiana Legal Services – to help our region’s most vulnerable families weather the storm.
