TWO PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

United Way of Southeast Louisiana is seeking a Part-Time Academic Coach and a Part-Time Education Case Manager for our New Orleans East Prosperity Center. The schedule for both positions is Monday through Friday from 2:00pm – 6:00pm and the hourly rate is $25.00. There is the potential for the positions to become full-time in the future.

Academic Coach

The Academic Coach will work closely with Interns to meet teen students’ learning needs by identifying barriers and weaknesses to academic success through analyzing student data and organizing/implementing problem-solving actions. Bachelor's degree in education or relevant work experience is required. Prior experience working with teens, particularly those facing challenges, and teaching/tutoring or similar work is preferred.

Education Case Manager

The Case Manager, along with an Academic Coach and tutors will work closely with teens to develop and improve student attendance, behavior and course performance. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education or relevant work experience is required. Prior experience working with teens, particularly those facing challenges, and case management, counseling or similar work is preferred.
